Mission: Prince George's Child Resource Center helps create healthy and nurturing environments for children by supporting their families and educating their caregivers.

Results: PGCRC’s current programs include our flagship program, the Family Support Center, which implements a two-generation approach promoting kindergarten readiness for children, family literacy, adult basic education, and employment readiness for 100 families with young children each year. Healthy Families Prince George’s (HFPG) – provides comprehensive, in-home intervention services to 170 Prince George’s families with young children each year, at no cost to families. This program aims to reduce child abuse and neglect and support healthy parent-child relationships. Family Connects Prince George’s (FCPG) – works to advance the well-being of all infants and their families by ensuring they have a medical home and are provided with physical- and mental-health screenings, comprehensive assessments, and connections to community resources that support their individual family needs and preferences in the critical first months following birth. Project WIN (Wise Intervention NOW) – our early childhood mental health program provides caregivers with the strategies they need to address children’s behavioral challenges and to promote their positive social-emotional development, both of which are key to school readiness. Child Development Education and Technical Assistance Program – improves the quality of child care for low-income children through technical assistance and professional development opportunities for 2,500 early child care providers each year. Joining Voices – amplifies the voices of vulnerable young children in our community, as well as their parents and early childhood systems infrastructure through advocacy efforts at the state and local levels.
