Mission: Pro seniors' mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life of older adults by empowering them, by protecting their interests and by facilitating their access to resources.

Target demographics: people in nursing homes and other seniors (age 60+) with access to benefits, rights, and dignity.

Direct beneficiaries per year: nearly 8,000 Ohio seniors!

Geographic areas served: Southwestern Ohio/all of Ohio

Programs: The agency assisted 6,495 clients with legal problems, including providing legal advice and representation regarding health issues, public benefits, consumer issues, housing, foreclosure prevention and pensions. This program utilized $22,999 of donated services.

agency long-term care ombudsmen served 1,180 clients by providing assistance with issues and problems related to long-term care, including care plans, abuse, restraints, lost or stolen belongings, quality of care, misappropriation of funds, transfers and discharges, and long-term care facility selection. This program utilized $16,555 of donated services.

volunteers for the agency's ohio senior medicare patrol (smp) program provided over 815 hours of service to educate seniors about taking an active role in the detection, prevention and reporting of health care errors, fraud and abuse. This program utilized $19,248 of donated services.
