There is really not much to say about a trailer jack footplate. Probably one of the simplest parts to install on a trailer, ever. This footplate was cheaper than all the rest...even though I really wanted one of the round versions that are more expensive. Pretty sure these are all manufactured at same facility in CHINA. These are a must have to keep your trailer from sinking in the ground or asphalt on hot days. Also the footplate helps to slide the trailer around just a little if needed. I installed mine on new 2021 Karavan utility trailer with A-frame jack. The jack post is 2 exactly. This footplate fit perfectly with just a little wiggle room and the steel thickness is 1/8, has solid weld, and is zinc plated. It will likely outlast your jack on the trailer. Also the footplate comes with a quick removable pin...as they say your suppose to remove each time you tow your trailer, but no one is going to do that. So I used a 3/8x3 long stainless bolt and nylon lock nut from local hardware store. It keeps it secured nicely, helps prevent someone from stealing it and keeps it from possibly rattling on the provided pin as your flying down the road. I'm happy with my purchase.
