My AC to DC converter failed and this unit was an exact replacement of it. Perfect fit and installed in a few minutes. This unit converts AC power, provided externally to RV, to DC power for lights and battery charging in the RV. Works perfectly. Also has a nice little control switch that plugs in to manually change the converter if needed for testing but this unit is hands free and does what it needs to do without intervention.

Used this in my cabin to charge house batteries from my generator and also provide 12v to my lights when on generator power. This also will allow for future expansion beyond lights next year. Very happy with the product.

It works well and exactly as advertised. After two days, the voltage settled down at about 13.35 volts. The pendant is included in the box but the cable is too short. I installed a battery switch close to the converter so when I installed it. There was no chance of a spark as the power to the converter was off until I turned the battery switch on. It only added about $15 to the price and cheap insurance to cut the high amp power in case of an accident, etc.The Progressive Dynamics PD9245CV is installed in a Foretravel U300 and charges the house bank of 6 AGM batteries as well as the 3 engine batteries with a lighter outlet to outlet jumper. We use solar while traveling but the converter keeps a steady float voltage when we are home. Other brands did not provide a stable voltage. The cooling fan rarely comes on but it cannot be heard or felt in the coach.

Just installed unit recently. It works fine but time will tell if the converter has good longevity. It was not hard to install but I am a retired electro-mechanical tech.
