Causes: Adult Education, Education, Literacy, Remedial Reading & Encouragement

Mission: Free 0ne-on-one tutoring in ESL, basic adult literacy (reading and writing) and math preparation for the High School Equivalency.

Results: Estimated 7,500 of our neighbors have learned enough English to get a driver's license, a better job, their citizenship, their high school diploma and are reading to their children. The can understand a prescription and a bank statement.

Target demographics: Adults learn English, prepare for High School Equivalency exam, citizenship etc.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 250 students

Geographic areas served: The greater Bergen County, NJ area

Programs: Free one-on-one instruction to promote basic adult literacy.
