I purchased this wall safe to prevent family from unauthorized access to my medications. With careful planning the installation was flawless. It isn't flush enough to hide with a picture frame, but I wasn't planning on hiding it. I programmed all of my fingers and some of my spouse's. Our kids can't get in. The lock mechanism has worked flawlessly, but because there is no handle on the door it isn't the easiest to open (door isn't spring loaded). The beeping that the lock makes is a bit loud and can be heard in the next room. I'm looking to disable the sound. The fit and finish was ok for the price. It would take a thief with tools to break the door off before the thing could be removed from my wall.

Works every time. No complaints. The interior is a bit small, but there is only so much you can fit in any wall safe.

Very easy to intstall, very easy to program. There is extra key if something happened to electric part. Also, like an extra battery. Overall, very good, recommend to other people

This safe is amazing. It is quite simple to set up. The weight is manageable and it is well made. You can't go wrong purchasing this. It does not hold a tremendous amount of items so narrow down exactly what you want in there. Great shipping time.

Protex Fingerprint Wall Safe has met our expectations. If one is handy, it is fairly easy to install following the directions included with the safe. The comment in the available reviews indicate that for folks over 70 years old the fingerprint reader may sometimes not read your fingerprint is accurate. Have found that it may take three or four attempts before it reads one's print and opens.

I bought this wall safe to keep items that I need frequent access to from the bedroom, passports, jewelry, and my 9mm handgun. the only issue is that I can't fit the 9mm into the safe without taking it out of the holster and wedging it in at an angle. It fits... but would have been nice to have a little more volume and better customization of the shelving heights.

This was perfect for me, just have to remember it is slim inside not by Protex's design but because a wall is only so thick. Seems like an easy concept but if your not working in construction every day, you dont think about it.

It is very sturdy and heavy, and the front is flat and crowbar-resistant. My handyman installed it in 30 minutes, between the studs. Can easily hang a framed picture or fabric wall hanging over it. Had to read the directions carefully, so that JUST the fingerprints of my husband and I open it. I easily get in and out of this safe all day long, locking my wallet and keys there, so no visiting teenagers are tempted. There is room for a good bit of jewelry, cash, etc.

We bought this safe for my Dad who is almost 90 He loves it, except he could not make the fingerprint reader recognize his prints. After speaking to the manufacturers rep, we were told that when most people turn around 70 years old, their fingerprints start "wearing off" making them unreadable and the only solution in this case is to abandon the fingerprint reader and use the key lock.

This was fairly simple to install. One key tip is to make sure you know for sure the wall space you've chosen to install this sfe is completely free of studs, plumbing, electrical. etc. Surprises will not be fun to deal with. The sae is very sturdy and the entry mechanism seem to work wonderful.

I had this installed in the wall by an excellent contractor but I had him view a YouTube video of a typical installation before he tackled the job. It took him less than an hour. The safe is solid and secure. The best feature is the biometrics and we do not need to have a key or remember a combination. The only caveat is that it is not very deep and is best suited for small articles that rest vertically in the safe. If you have large or bulky items to keep secure, this is not the safe for you. Otherwise, it is highly recommended.

I had a different brand before this and loved the last one. I bought this safe because there were few other options. Couldn't be happier. The fingerprint reader is much better than the other safe I had and the safe itself is sturdier.
