Mission: Mission Statement: Providence House protects at-risk children and supports families through crisis, strengthening communities to end child abuse and neglect. Vision Statement: Children everywhere are raised in safe, loving families free from abuse and neglect. History and Progress: Providence House, Inc. was founded in 1981 to provide emergency shelter for children in Greater Cleveland whose families were experiencing a crisis. We are Ohio's first licensed Crisis Nursery and offer emergency shelter to children, aged newborn through 12-years-old, who live in situations that place them at risk of abuse or neglect, as well as family preservation services for their parents or guardians. In our 39-year history, we have supported over 8,000 children and families in crisis throughout Northeast Ohio. (Less)
