I bought one of these for a project a few years ago that I never got around to. Not long ago I ended up needing a pair of them, so I ordered another one. The quality in the build on this newer speaker has dropped ridiculously. It's got a plastic cage...no metal involved. Didn't quite line up with the mounting holes I needed, so I had to open the holes up a bit. It sounds ok for now, but I'm not expecting it to make it through the summer. Guess we'll see.

speakers are to big.Size 6.5 is wrong.Will not fit a 2007 HHR door speakers.

I put this in a guitar practice amp. I was surprised how good it sounded. The important frequencies I need are from about 100-8k and this reproduces them reasonably. It's a great value. Can't comment on them for car audio use.
