I build custom Bluetooth speakers as a hobby, and I've used these Pyle DVC subs (various sizes) in over 20 builds. I've used a few of the 12, 10, and 8, and a ton of the 6 versions. I use them more as standard woofers than pure subs, and they're very good at handling the left and right channels simultaneously thanks to the dual voice coils. Pair them with a good set of tweeters on either side, and the stereo imaging is pretty good.For the most part I've been very pleased with these speakers...until now. EVERY one I've purchased in the past has a steel frame/basket. To my surprise, this new 12 is all plastic. It is considerably lighter than the ones with steel baskets, but it feels much less sturdy. The sound is also different, with less clarity in the lower frequencies (even after a decent amount of break-in time)...

I had Pyle 15's as a 14 year old kid..As I'm sure many can relate to these beasts on your room and Ma bi..Zitchin' that her sears portraits are coming off the wall or turned sideways..(Thankyou Crutchfield Magazine).. In all seriousness..I ordered this 15.. Just one because I had a box for it,And truthfully I wanted to see if it lived up before purchasing another one..Well, Needles to say that I had one moy12 Bbox to fill..I just got the 12 today and I'm listening to on low on full BASS for the break in process as I write this review..And I can't seem to find the difference between the 12 and it's big brother?..So..I HIGHLY RECCOMEND these Pyle Drivers.. They're Sick!!!..And I've had kicker..J.L.Audio..And SO MANY more with my most recent ones being Infinity Kappa Series 1100w..And these are Better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1500 watt Crunch amp pushing them and my truck definitely rattlesUpdateThey blew. Voice coils disconnected. May be because of over clipping because I don't think that my Crunch AB amplifier could have had enough power to blow them especially after watching a few dyno tests on YouTube.Seems that Pyle, like Crunch are overrating their products performance to get sales but then again they are not competition grade pieces either.Seems that for the price and performance they are geared more towards the average person who wants a little extra bass out of their system and not for bass heads who like to push the envelope... Guilty
