I bought this sub to replace my factory installed model and the sound quality, bass response, and overall loudness of my system has greatly increased. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Pushed a bit too hard and fried one of the voice coils.Zero continuity, zero resistance, and nice and crunchy when you flex it.It also shorted my amp, so now I have a junk amp and a junk speaker.

The subwoofers speakers are trash they didn't have much bass didn't get that much louder they my stock speakers so i just ended up buying DS18 car subwoofers instead sounds way better than the ones i bought on here.

First and foremost, you lose all ability to complain about the quality of these subs simply based on the value / quality ratio. These units definitely meet and IMO surpass my expectations for an entry level sub straight out of the box. If you want to complain about the pricing then it's time to stop being so dam cheap and get yourself some mid level alpnies, kicker comps or dare I say it....Focals . If you do some research on general specifications for both amps and subs then by golly gee wow you may come to find out that ohms, voice coil sizes and types as well as a few others make a bigger difference than getting a 15in or 12in subwoofer that can't even be pushed by your 1,000,000,000 watt amp that you just spent $500 on while my dual/tripple 8in enclosure and 500-750w amp that I got open box for $75 is bumping the rocky theme song because its punching you in the chest with super tight and crisp jabs so hard that we turn down the radio together and scream ANDRIE......MAZON. My point is I have some really great sub builds for my vehicle and I would honestly recommend these subs for a solid clean and bassy sound when you pair the system correctly (amplifier and enclosure, deadening material is really something you won't regret) that is a quarter if not less than subs of similar quality with a really expensive trademarked name. From what I've seen it looks like more folks are worried about the name on their systems than the actual quality of sound, makes me want to pee in their lemonades and tell them its Splenda. The butyl rubber (or material they use, may be a different type because it almost feels superior, don't believe everything you read from the sellers, they can't even answer customer questions correctly 9/10 and sadly neither can the customers) seems solid enough, I've pounded these things like a teen couple on prom night who waited since softmore year because she took a celebacy pact with her best friend that you sometimes wish would slip and fall into a wood chipper....the first time I was able and was surprised at the lack of distortion even when the cones were pretty much extended to the max and and the coax hookups seemed tight, conducting well and overall really weren't as poor quality as I was almost sure they would be. This review is for the 10in models and possibly a new psychiatrist, i purchased one like new at $32 and the other for $44 I believe, sorry for all the info but I hope it made you smile and gave the info you needed.

Sounds great for how cheap they are. I wouldn't put a whole lot of power to them but they really handle some bass for a cheap entry level speaker.

I bought the speaker to replace the one I had from factory. Easy to install and the sound is pretty good. I like it.

Stock amp install. The system likes 2 ohm so they are wired as such. Sounded great for a couple days and then one of them developed a pop/flap sound at a certain bass frequency. It doesn't do it all the time, but some songs hit that note just right and pop/flap there it is...haha! Can't return, I'll probably replace the fronts with something else eventually. For now they sound better then the old stock units it had. I'm happy till I'm not.Good Luck!

Used this to replace the subwoofer in my 2000 suburban 2500. Wired the 4 ohm DVC for 2 ohm, a little modification to fit it in and BOOM!Well, maybe more of a boom! HAHA!Sounds great! Really way better than stock and brings the system to life.

It's a good speaker for the price. Good bass. You have to know how to wire the speaker for the type amp

Well hooked up has all settings on amp turned to zero. Turned radio on set volume to 15 and slowly brought amp up to a good sound. Was pleased then head down the road and it quit. Thought it was amp(bought used MTX 400watt amp) plugged in a spare 12”sub and started playing. So pulled 10sub and could smell burnt. Hard to see a 400wat amp burnt up a 1000watt speaker.

had a subwoofer blow out on one of my mounted stereo speakers- I didn't want to spend too much considering the set of speakers cost me $10. I bought two of these subwoofers from Pyle for about $40-50 and one came broken- the cone was completely stuck at its topmost position and wouldn't depress at all. the other- which you can see pictured- works perfectly fine and looks beautiful. the speaker cage is plastic which was a first for me but it works and sounds great! just don't tighten the speakers down too hard I could imagine it cracking the cages plastic as it's pretty flimsy.

I had a shop install these in the Buick roadmaster with a small amplifier. It sounds super! I never knew Conway Twitty could sound so good!
