I'm a master installer trained by Rockford Fosgate. I see a lot of people stating that this sub cannot handle the rated power. Yet these people are the people who also say they only turned their a up halfway or something like that. That's not how amp gains work. They are not volume controls. It's for matching the gain with your source unit. Gains do not decide how much power goes to the speaker. If you design and build a proper enclosure along with setting your amplifier properly, which includes a properly tuned port enclosure, source match gains, low pass filter at around 80. The subsonic filter at around 30 and they will certainly handle their rated power. Please stop posting things when you do not have enough knowledge about how it all works..
