It's inexpensive, yet does the job at any outside event. I couldn't be more pleased.

I have used this for my large exercise classes at a public pool. It is plenty loud and my voice is clear and easily understood. I have been using it several weeks with the same batteries. It is perfect for my needs and the reasonable price.

I was THIS CLOSE to returning this for a refund! I am a little nervous about not doing that since there are so many reports of these working for a while and then going kaput. The instructions that come with it are not correct. The 34;music34; function is an extreme detriment. If you mistakenly (or on purpose) press the 34;music34; button (the other button is 34;siren), you will hear the most gawd-awful noise being broadcast which does not sound like 34;music34; to anyone on this planet. It turns out that if you want to use it as a megaphone, DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND PUSH THE 34;MUSIC34; BUTTON. Just leave that button alone, push the 34;ON34; button and speak into the microphone on the back of the unit or attach the hand-held microphone and speak into it. Other than that, it seems OK. A bit of advice: I would strongly suggest removing the batteries when not in use. Many of the 34;no longer works34; complaints might be caused by leaving the batteries in for a long time of non-use.
