This was used on a SS free standing laundry sink to cut both enlarge a faucet hole and a soap dispenser hole. The new hole was a breeze. The trick for a thin SS sink is to brace under it so you can bear down to cut the hole and it will also steady the work. The hole that was already there but too small to fit my faucet was a bit of a challenge because there was no pilot hole for the drill to steady and run true but it worked out ok anyway. I would recommend to anyone drilling stainless.

No matter how tight I made the set screw to the drill bit, it always worked loose creating wobble and wallowing out my hole. The saw cuts well, so I intend to spot weld or epoxy the drill bit in place.

Made one hole in a car fender and on the second hole snapped off several teeth and was a paperweight. Had some nice teeth the cut well but once one snapped off it was unusable.

It's pretty well made for a $15 import. I've cut 5 holes through 1/8 plate steel with no issues, except for the kick out spring on the pilot likes to slip down, but hey, it's sharp and precise.

I'm a big fan of Drill America (on Amazin) brand of hole saws for fabricating 304/316 stainless steel cabinets. Have 5-6 DrillAmerica saws. Needed a 4.5dia sawDrillAmerica =$200. This one $40. Bought both just in case this one junk. Happy to see equivalent performance from this product in 304ss! Crazy value4.5 for lt;$40..wow. (Use cutting oil with all 304/316). Returned Drill America unused.but highly recommend Drill America products.

Hercules metal hole saw bit failed to cut hole in stainless steel sink. This awesome bit cut the hole super fast. It's heavy duty and durable! Bit edges were still sharp afterwards.

I needed a hole in my stainless steel sink for a dish soap pump. This did the job in about 30 seconds. Super easy and made a clean hole.

I drilled multiple holes through the hood of my jeep with this, and not a single tooth broke off it, for those who don't know, for cutting any type of metal oil is needed and a slow pace, if you try to jam this drill into the material it's going to break teeth. It's a slow and steady pace wins the race, not a 100 meter dash keep this in mind.

If you have a new stainless steel sink and need a hole for your water filter, etc, this will do the trick. Only took a few minutes with the right tool.

i needed to bore a hole through the steel top of a cart. not too thick and the bit worked fine. longevity and durability will remain to be seen but just looking at the bit i would say it will last awhile if you do not abuse it. oil when cutting and let the bit do the work. for the price it was worth it just for the one hole i had to bore.

It did what it was ordered for. Downside the measurements posted was slightly off so I had to order a new drill for it to fit but it's rugged and works awesome.

I used it to bore exhaust holes in 3/8 hot rolled.Lots of cutting fluid and as much feed as my (too fast) Crapsman drill could do.No damage or wear noted yet!

The drill bit does not stay in place. Not worth the money.

I bought this because I needed four 1.5 inch holes in 1/4 inch steel. I was expecting a fight for such a cheap price but to my amazement, it cut all four holes in under 10 minutes. I'm a retired contractor so I obviously took precautions to protect the hole saw. Like pre-drilling the pilot hole and keeping the saw soaked in oil for lubrication and coolant. My 10 minute estimate includes pre-drilling and moving from hole to hole. It was a 10 minute job in total. I drilled an 1/8 inch hole. Then a 3/16 hole. Then a matching hole for the pilot. I didn't use the pilot for any cutting. I used the saw for 3-5 seconds and dipped it in a bucket of oil since I didn't have a sprayer handy. It took about 8-10 cycles of cut for 5 seconds and dip.Still can't believe how well it worked for $12. It's still cutting the same speed as the first hole so I can use it again but as far as I'm concerned, it paid for itself already.

I used this to drill a hole in my stackable dryer for the vent. Worked great for sheet metal. Used it with a 1/2 inch portable drill.
