This hole saw cuts steel cabinets well. I use it to install fans in electrical cabinets. Pilot bit broke on first hole

I needed to drill a hole in a stainless steel sink and after first trying a standard hole saw and then a titanium step drill bit with poor results, I switched to this and got it done in 2 minutes.

I've ordered a few of these in different sizes for work. We drill through beds of trucks to install gooseneck trailer hitches. The new Dodge Rams have really hard beds, we've torn up a ton of regular metal cutting hole saws, these tear right through! If used a lot, you'll eventually wear them out, and once one tooth goes, they all seem to go. But I can't complain, they have saved so much abuse on our drills because they cut through so easily!

This is a very reasonably priced tool that I've used to cut 10 holes in 0.125 (3.2mm) plate, to date. Thus far, it has done a very good job. I really can't say how long it will last but really, how often am I going to be needing this specific dimension (I'm not a pro but an avid fabricator). These 10 holes were clean and consistent with an actual finished dimension of about 43mm (it's a 42mm cutter). Quite acceptable for my application. I'd buy it again as I think it's good value even if it only cuts another 15-20 holes. It included two pilot bits which I thought was a nice touch.

The saw cuts quick and smooth, very stable, no walking around as it cuts. Cuts through steel and aluminum easily and did I say smooth. The arbor is part of the saw casting and is very stable. There were two pilot drills/springs and an Hex wrench included. Would buy another anytime.

I bought this to mod a PC case to drill some holes to cool things off. I drilled eight separate holes in the same session on 2.5mm aluminum and it didn't slow down once. I was done in about 15 minutes. Still looks like new. Cuts were clean, and only needed some touch-up with a fine file. Pictures are of the finished job.

Thing worked perfectly for drilling my holes for draft beer cooler. Watch out it will rip your arm off when it bites. Haha

Both of the bits that came with this broke within the first use! Do not recommend this whatsoever. I was trying to drill a hole through some thin metal on an Ikea cabinet. This product does not work as advertised. Don't waste your money

So this was the second Chuck that I ordered trying to get my project complete. This one did not fall apart and was barely enough to let me finish getting all those holes in that iron. This tool outlived the drill that I was using. Burnt it up. What are you going to do. This is worth your money.

Use your own bit to predrill pilot hole. Use quality cutting oil for all drilling. The carbide teeth are very sharp and will grab and break provided pilot. Keep it very straight and low pressure. Can't use too much oil. Slow rpm and gentle as you near cutting through the material and be ready for it to grab, this will work.

The pilot bits that came with the hole saw suck. They are very brittle, and break very easily. The hole saw actually cuts pretty good but you have to keep it square on the surface.

The whole saw preform as it should, however the center drill bit broke. Even the spare snapped with in minutes. Used it to cut out additional holes on a aluminum trailer for tail lights. Had to use my own better quality drill bits to keep the whole saw on center and alignment.
