Saved me a lot of extra work on not replacing the wheel studs/bolts.

I ordered the 27x1.5 die to re-thread the damaged end of a CV axle in a customer's BMW X5. I had to borrow a 50mm socket to drive it with, but when done, I have usable threads and can re-install the axle.

Threading die didn't fit any of my T- handles. But die is heavy duty and works well with an adjustable wrench.

Repaired and cleaned very-badly rusted/pitted/dented threads on an abused bench grinder in less than 5 minutes. Impressed.

Pictures show before and after.I've been living with a bit of thread damage that I didn't get ahead of on my spindle thread and one fateful evening fueled by a bit too much coffee I tightened my ER25 collet nut a wee bit too tight on a warm spindle. When I came back to do a toolchange, the collet nut had cooled but the spindle threads retained enough heat that an enthusiastic attempt to loosen the nut around the slightly heat-expanded spindle threads deformed the collet nut and then dragged the deformation across all of the threads, severely damaging an irreplaceable component of the spindle.Faced with a 4-6 week lead time for a new $400 spindle from China or a 1-2 week lead on a $1000 domestic replacement, I decided to attempt to rethread the spindle with this $40 die that arrived within two days.2 excruciatingly stressful hours of mashing through my threads and a can of WD-40 later, my spindle is in fighting shape again with no concerning vibrations. I chucked in a 1/4 tool blank and there is no wobble whatsoever. The crests are still damaged but the roots are very crisp and clean.

correct sizing, good quality. only used once, but it saved my butt, didnt have to replace an axle.

Needed to extend the threads on some grade 8 (well really class 10.9) bolts. Die was the M12x1.25. Got all 10 bolts cut but did get harder towards the end. Probably won't ever need it again. It did save me about 60 bucks.

I used this to clean up buggered up trailer spindle threads that someone had smashed up in the past. Worked great; a lot easier than replacing the spindle and much cheaper than a new axle.I haven't used it a bunch, just a few times cleaning up threads, but it seems decent quality. Fits a 46mm or 1-13/16 socket.

It works, saved me a lot of money when I bunged the threads on a stud knocking loose a brake rotor. I don't know how well it fits with standard die tools because I used a rather largish combination wrench. But I don't have to make a living with my tools. Cheap tools are cheap. This served its purpose well as a cheap tool.

I damaged the threads on the front axle of my truck. I was able to repair the threads with this tool, which saved me from the cost of a new axle.

Purchased the 5/8-24 good quality. To thread the barrel on my .308 works perfect the nut size is 1 1/4 would buy again for sure if i needed one of a different size

Most of my die set you can tell what side to start with. This one I could not tell. But worked perfectly. A bit pricey but no one else had this odd size

I bought this for 1 very specific reason. I needed a way to clean the melted 3d printer filament from my nozzle threads as I swapped them out. This is absolutely perfect for the job! Most 3d printer hotend nozzles are m6 threads and it having wrench flats makes it easy to put in a vise. For the $ this is the best option for what I needed it to do.

As advertised, 8mm x 1mm pitch. Sharp, durable, cut threads easily. Small, would not fit in my tap wrench but a crescent wrench worked fine. Delivered by due date.
