As someone who is a casual maker without a proper shop, it's great to get a set like this that just works. I'm sure it would be great for a shop too, though it might be better to buy a full set of these in that case.

I needed to clean up some threads and drill out an old aluminum pipe plug that was hopelessly stuck in a bung. I was able to successfully use this kit to do both operations and clean up the rest of the 3/8 NPT holes I was dealing with as well. It did the job and didn't break the bank. I would recommend it.

Use this to retap a hole for a standard fitting instead of metric, worked perfectly. Drill bit went through the aluminum easily and the tap cut the threads quickly.

I’ve ordered these in 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. Delivery was quick and both the bits and the taps have performed well. I used both to drill and tap 3/16ths 304 Stainless, which really was pushing them to the limits
