I needed just a few holes this size and my drill only accepts shanks up to 1/2 so a reduced shank bit was the only answer. This one did the required drilling and now has a home in my toolbox in case it's ever needed again. It was reasonably priced and certainly adequate for my need. Delivery was prompt. An excellent solution to my problem.

It did what I needed to do and that was put a hole into my oil pan for a turbo drain line. It was/still is sharp.

Wow, there's not another drill bit like this anywhere! This baby is just itchin' to bore clean holes in anything you bring it up against! And it keeps comin' back for more! Drill me, baby! I could hear it scream over the whine of the electric drill motor. I'm comin' through!I now carry it everywhere I go. Got stopped at security at the airport once, but they took a look at it and agreed that, without an electric drill, it would be a painfully slow process to hijack an airplane with it by hand, and they let it through, with admiring glances I must admit. No doubt they coveted my Reduced Shank High Speed Steel Drill Bit.In any trendy saloon, I lay my cellphone on the bar, then slam my Drill Bit next to it. And then the ladies take notice and sidle up...and the guys sigh with envy...Do I recommend this Drill Bit. You betcha. Just tell 'em Chuck-key sent ya...

This drill bit is the same outer diameter as 1/2 PVC. I used this to ream out a pvc pipe fitting. Worked perfectly. Just make sure your drill can handle a 1/2 shank.
