Needed this tap for a one time job. Way cheaper than the brick mortar stores. Worked great and got the job done perfectly. Arrived ahead of schedule as well.

I needed to tap out a few 3/8 holes to 27/64 drilled holes through 3/8 thick walls in a Polyethylene water tank for 5/8 length set 1/2 13 sized SS hex set screws with PTFE compound on threads to plug the holes that are no longer used. It took about 15 minutes to drill tap for the retrofit. It worked out very well and I did not have to buy a new tank.I have no comment for this size tap for using on metals. But their 1/2 14 NPT tap worked very good. I used with cutting grease in brass to transmogriphy 1/2 14 straight pipe threads into 1/2 14 FNPT on a brass bulkhead fitting.

Quality tap, had to use this in alloy steel as well as cast iron, performed well in both materials.

I bought these to clean up existing threads and they're excellent. I've been running them in and out with a small 12 volt impact driver. I have not used them to thread a hole, but they seem pretty durable. Definitely a step or ten up from the cheapo Harbor Freight tap and die set I've been using.

I used these to prep a new steel bicycle frame derailleur nut. Because the paint was in the threads, I could not properly screw on the derailleur. I used the more blunt one first, as I had already crossed the threads with repeated failed attempts, then I proceed to use the sharper one for a final cleanup. Very effective! Derailleur screwed right in afterwards.

I bought this set to clear out the threads on my 3D printer. The threads that mount the nozzle in the hotend of my Ender3 printer. The threads get clogged with filament sometimes. This was the only way to get a bottom tap in this Metric size.
