Broke head off bolt and had to drill through center of bolt to get outer portion, with threads to collapse.After carefully center drilling pilot hole this twist drill cut right through grade 8 bolt.

Performed well when I drilled a couple hundred holes in plywood for a climbing wall. Does have a little tear out, so you have to use some thing behind what you're drilling.

I needed to open a hole up to 5/8 in a piece of 1/4 mild steel and this did the job fine.

I purchased the 5/8” bit to chase old 5/8” holes (in wood) I drilled with a spade bit years ago, looking to fill them in with 5/8” dowels. The holes shrunk slightly over the years and needed a little cleaning. This 5/8” twist drill bit from Drill America worked great.The only criticism I'd give is that the burrs weren't removed from the cutting edges but for the $11 price it's about what I expected. And it's easy enough to clean up if I ever need to use this drill bit beyond chasing a handful of old holes in wood.

Bit was shiny as turned in a chuck and cutting edges rolled as been used. I am a 40 year union machinist. I know new from used. DO NOT BUY !!!!

Installed a 5th wheel rail kit in the truck. Bit held up good through the whole install including drilling 8 bolt holes through the hardened frame.

I had to open up the holes on one of my basses to install upgraded tuning machines and this worked great! I also used this to repair a headstock on my cousins 12 string guitar that someone messed up real bad with crooked holes. I opened the holes up with this and installed dowel plugs and redrilled/refinished the headstock
