The BOSU Pro Basic is exactly like the one that I use at my gym. It's extremely heavy duty. Accompanying booklet has a lot of very good suggestions, recommendations, and guidelines for care and getting the most out of it.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pump that comes with it does not inflate to capacity -- it falls short about 2 inches from what the height should be. If they can't include a decent pump then they should not include one at all. Otherwise, this is an excellent piece of equipment to exercise at home with as well as work on balancing skills and coordination. My fitness trainer has shown me a lot more and a lot better exercises than are shown in the accompanying booklet. I would highly recommend this BOSU balance trainer but suggest making sure you have a pump that can fill it to capacity.

Easy to set up and is a good exercise for improving balance. I had used one at my health club and decided to purchase one for home exercize also. Good decision.Grandchildren really love it and their balance is much better than mine!

I love my Bosu ball. Actually I gave it to my husband for his birthday, but I use it more than him. Great for balance and easy to get in a hard workout. I could not believe all the exercises that can be done on the bosu. The included DVD explains it all, but go online to see tons more exercises. There is no limit. That's one reason the Bosu is my favorite exercise device right now. So many different ways to use it.

The item is as expected in type and quality, however the description mentions a DVD and none was enclosed in either of the 2 that I ordered, so I think the description needs editing...Also, the pump if pretty flimsy, but I keep a higher grade pump onhand for use with other objects so that's not as much of an issue for me.

The Bosu pro is of high construction quality and built to stand up to heavy use. It was easy to inflate with the pump given even though it was one of the cheesy foot pumps. It is a great addition to your rehab or workout routine.

The BOSU is a definite plus to my at home workout. You feel your entire body working during the program. Mine came with 4 workouts which are really great. I am looking forward to purchasing additional workouts to use with my BOSU. I feel it really changes up your workout and is a definite challenge. Balance is critical to everyone especially as we get older.

I got my Bosu Ball for Christmas and love the variety of exercises that can be done on it. I keep in my garage gym which can get very cold and very warm. Living in NC there are days that start off below freezing and rise to 70s degrees - and the temperature in my garage varies within those extremes. Yesterday was one of those days and when I came home last night the ball detached from the base. I am thinking the rapid change in temperature in my garage may have caused the problem. I now have to repair it. I noticed other people have had this problem too. What a pain! Going to try the repair instructions one reviewer recommended rather than return it as it has been over a month. This is obviously a design flaw and the company needs to address it. I think the BOSU ball is a fanstastic workout tool but heck - make it dependable!

Got this to help strengthen my ankles, and it works great. I was worried that it might not be sturdy enough since I've read that some have had problems with the base coming loose, but it doesn't look like that's going to be problem for me.

My first concern before purchasing the product was, "Would I use the product regularly?" Up to this point I have been. I'm just doing the basics now and will work into more exercises but I am fine with that right now. The set up was easy. If you follow the directions you will not over-inflate it...you just need a 1-foot ruler and you're set to go. The foot pump that was included works fine. Right now my basic exercise is for balance and I use a body blade while balancing. I try squats and balancing on one leg as well. I'm improving with every session I do. I like the Bosu ball a lot....now I just need to get my wife and kids using it.

Unsure how the quality of this item will be compared to the home unit since I've only had it a little over a month. I purchased this one since the home version developed three separate leaks over the few years that I owned. I'm hoping this is better made and will not develop holes for no apparent reason.

I used this product for about a month and then a leak developed. I followed all the inflation and care directions. Some reviewers indicate that "they" do not have a problem. The product, however, seems to have more problems reported than it should (see other reviews). Simply because some people do not have problems does not mean the product is reliably produced. There are probably manufacturing irregularities. For example - would you say an automobile that works for one person indicates that the automobile should work for everyone? Warranties are there to help with these manufacturing irregularities. Unfortunately - when I tried to get warranty service I was told to buy a water bed repair kit and fix the leak myself.

This is one of the best fitness items on the market. The pro/commercial grade version is highly recommended. As a trainer, it is one of the most valued tools in my gym. My clients love this system. Everything from toe to neck can benefit.

I've had 3 BOSU's, 2 home products, 1 commercial. Both of the home units I've thrown out because they would not stay inflated. I'm not sure if it was the plug combined with an overly soft, thin, flexible cover, or what. Bottom line is they simply would not stay inflated. In contrast, the commercial unit, which seems to be made of thicker, more resilient material, stays inflated fine. If you can get a good one that doesn't leak, it really is a wonderful home exercise device. There are many different stepping, lunging, bending kinds of exercises you can do on this getting good flexibility and aerobic exercise at home, in a small space. Also, I wouldn't recommend spending money on the frame, as you can just put the half-ball on the floor and lean against a counter or chest for balance.

I've had 3 BOSU's, 2 home products, 1 commercial. The problem is that the plug that goes in doesn't seal properly. I've repeatedly emailed their customer service and all that I get back is an automated reply not to overinflate, which I don't! I like the product, would use it more often if I didn't have to re-inflate it every few days. All they need to do is create a better plug for the hole, one more like that used in Pilates balls. But, their customer service won't make this simple fix! So all 3 of my BOSU's sit in the closet, unused. Darn!

Can someone confirm whether this version is the 65cm one, or if it is the smaller 55cm version? Thanks.

Bought the BOSU for my daughter. She's a physical therapist and familiar with the product from her work. She was very happy to receive it and has been using it ever since. It is great for working core muscles. It can be used with the flat side down when you begin. If that becomes old hat, flip it over and start working with the ball side down. It takes a lot of balance and practice on this side. Best core work out available. Great product at a reasonable price.

I purchased a BOSU a month ago and am really getting a good workout both in balance and in strength--by placing the blue side on the floor and doing a plank while holding onto the base.Anyway, I didn't realize it shouldn't be placed in sunlight or near heat registers and today, while sitting in the sun, the blue "half ball" came apart from the base. Couldn't find any repair instructions at the BOSU site or online. But--I looked over the base carefully and found a screw in each handle. To repair--unscrew the screw in each handle and the BOSU's rim will come apart from the base in two pieces. Then completely deflate the blue half ball. At that point, line up the edges of the half ball (which look like a fork-crimped pie crust edge) with the edge of the base (according to the indentations of the base that remain on the ball). Replace the screw on one of the handles and tighten enough so it holds the two halves of the rim together--but don't tighten completely. Then, kind of like replacing a bicycle tire, fit the edge of the ball and the edge of the base into the rim and put the rim around the edges of the ball and base together. Screw the second screw into the other handle and tighten--the rim won't meet if you don't have the edges of the ball and base together and inside the rim. When the rim meets, tighten the screw on each handle. Re-inflate the BOSU and you're good to go!

I am a group fitness instructor. I first tried a Bosu ball at a fitness class. What a challenge ! I later used one in therapy after foot surgery. I was sold on Bosu for muscle strength and balance.
