The Bosu Ball is an excellent piece of exercise equipment for anyone and everyone. One should be careful when beginning to use this product as you will tend to fall off of it. I suggest using it on carpet, rug, or exercise mat. Also, children, older adults, OR ANYONE who has severe balancing difficulties should have a partner to spot them, that is, let them hold your hand or your arm for stability. Never leave them alone when they are using the BOSU. The BOSU Ball is not a toy, and hence, should not be used as one. When I took an excercise class for fun, they had BOSU Balls available for us. I became determined to master this piece of equipment, and therefore, I practiced with it during every class. All you need to do is practice with it for 10 to 15 minutes a day (less if that suits you) and gradually, you become pretty good at mastering several of the excercises (and there are NUMEROUS ways to use the BOSU).My mother is 80, and she was thrilled when the BOSU arrived. I had taken video of myself while practicing using it in class. Mom and I use it daily (Mom needs my assistance), and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. It seems pricey; however, it is well worth the money. True BOSU's are very durable and easy to inflate (Mom and I use the hand pump). This product should last for years if taken care of and used properly.
