Using this as a way to hook up our winches to the bed of a trailer to assist with loading cars or equipment that can't be done under their own power. The one I got did not allow for a flush fit, but this actually worked out because it gave me a reason to make a separate brace under it to make sure it doesn't move at all. I doubt it would with the four 5/8, grade 8 bolts in the rear plate, but I over-engineered it to ensure it wouldn't just pull out of the side of the trailer. A hunk of 1/4 steel will give it a flush fit if you're curious (like the one in the picture), but I had to shim it up with some washers because I didn't account for a small lip right under the mounting bracket, otherwise it would have been perfect. It's very solid feeling, doesn't feel cheap and worked better than I had planned (which would have been a completely fabricated setup, this saved me a lot of time and work). Mine did seem to have a very minor twist to one side, when I bolted it to the trailer side, I noticed one of the wings on the sides for the safety chains was higher than the other. This wasn't an issue once I ran some bolts through them and pulled it down. Not exactly the intended use for those, but it gives me better assurance it won't twist from side to side.I don't have any info on mounting to vehicles and if they will fit certain types or not, but for situations like this where you don't need an exact fit, this will work perfect.
