Mission: RISE Travel Institute is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization rooted in its mission to inspire responsible, impactful, sustainable and ethical travel through education. RISE Travel Institute was founded in June 2020 to help address the inequitable and unsustainable practices present in the travel and tourism industry today. Through our online curriculum, Experiential Journeys, and other educational initiatives, we educate our students about the interconnectedness between social justice, animal protection and environmental ethics in relation to travel, all through an anti-oppression lens. We believe education can empower and equip people from all walks of life and all intersections of identity with the tools and resources to become informed conscious travelers.
