I use Pilot ball point pens. The pages of these pads have a coating which seems to be plastic.A pad which is difficult to write on? That will not serve people at home, unless they makenotes in their showers. Sooooo disappointing. Each page has a plastic-like finish. You don't writeon these pages, you must carve into them! S-o-o-o-o disappointed. The good part? They do fit in your pocket!

Can't stress this enough I tell everyone I work with how great this thing is and get told I should do advertising for them. I regularly have to take note at my job and then I forget the note pad in my pocket and put it through the washing machine I have accidentally washed this single pad 6 separate times and all the weighing is still legible and the paper still works for more notes. I have had 0 rips or damage and it's been the best few dollars I have spent highly recommended

I purchased these for my son for Christmas and he got to put them to the test this winter in the snow and sleet and said they worked perfectly. Great gift for officers!

I work in the trades and have to take a lot of notes for work. All my other notepads get the edges all bent up and it makes the book a mess by the time I'm done with it. This one doesn't, the pages are sturdier and it really is waterproof. My only issue is that sometimes if it gets dirty it can be hard to write on, but I can still use a ballpoint pen if necessary. Highly recommend if you work in the trades and have an issue with your notepad getting messy.

If you spend time out in the wilderness this would be a good thing to get. If you need, you can write a quick sign if you are changing plans, just in case you are listed as missing for some reason. The paper is still flammable, so you have quick kindling for a fire. It's not good for creating an ember or anything, but it is a good add in for a birdsnest if you are having problems finding dry materials for that. The covers also have map scales, conversion charts, and a small bit of imperial and metric tape on the sides of the back. I added a few to my kit here, that's all I know.

I've had mine for over a year now I think. I carry a small pen in my wallet and this goes great in a back pocket so I can write notes for people every so often. I've torn out the first page a couple times because it gets dark from being rubbed due to being sat on all the time. The rings kinda flatten out, but they're easily folded back occasionally. I've been really happy with the performance and will definitely be buying more of these.

I started using write in the rain notepads back in 2012 and haven't found an alternative yet. From wearing them in cargo pockets, blazer pockets and back packets I have yet to have one fall apart. I have also had several go through the wash and summers in both Nevada and Louisiana. This is the first time seeing the blue ones and I really like the aesthetic.

I really like the weather proofing. Unfortunately as a left hander it doesn't help much with the ink smudging, but that's more of a pen issue than a notepad issue. Works great though.

Never wrote on this when wet but have used these pads for years in my work in industrial facilities. They hold up very well to everyday use. Hint: clip off a piece of the front cover at 45 degrees then the same for each page when used. You can then quickly get to the next new page.

They work great, expensive for little note pads but they don't shred up in your pocket like regular notepads after carrying in your pocket 12 hrs a day every day
