Disappointed in this item. I have used many hobo pie irons in the past and wanted some of my own. I bought two on the very first use the handles are wobbly and loose. I fear they won’t last more than a couple campfire uses. (They we’re not dropped or abused during use)

We absolutely love these firepie ovens! Haven't had any issues with rust, we just wipe them out, then wipe them down with some olive oil and a paper towel. We don't use the hinges because we find them a bit too cumbersome.

Worked well. The claps are difficult to manage especially when hot. I have weak hands but my husband (mechanic) used a good amount of strength time to close them too.
