Mission: Raccoon Valley Centre for the ArtsAn Iowa-based 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Arts & Humanities Educational Multi-Discipline Service Organization # 47-5615194 I. The Mission and Purpose of the Raccoon Valley Centre for the Arts is: A. To provide services that present and preserve, advance and enhance the Arts and Humanities for the benefit of the community at-large; including any/all activities, presentations, educational programs, and/or services in the Performing and Fine Arts, Therapeutic Arts, Culinary Arts, and/or Classical Arts and Humanities and their historical significance as life-enhancing disciplines, as described here-in and/or in the corporation's current or future by-laws, amendments, and/or purposeful mission statement in accord with, related to, and for benefit of and to the community, at-large. i. To present the Arts: by offering public productions and performances; displays, and/or installation(s) of artistic works for the edification, enjoyment, and life-style enhancement of the general public. ii. To preserve the Arts: by providing educational services in the classical arts and humanities to individuals and groups of individuals with interest, involvement, and/or for career-oriented aspirations. iii. To advance the Arts: by promoting the Arts and Humanities as life-enhancing disciplines, including offering the historical and therapeutic-benefits of various artistic endeavors, artistic disciplines, and/or artistic forms as services to and for the general public that promote the arts as life-enhancements, and/or provide specialized services to both individuals and/or distinct or unique sections of the community. iv. To promote the development of artistic-oriented services in education, and offer therapeutic-uses of various artistic-related disciplines and methods for those in need of such services and to promote the health and well-being of individuals and the community at-large. Specifically, Raccoon Valley Massage Centre is a non-profit subsidiary of Raccoon Valley Centre for the Arts. We offer the art of massage as a personal-care therapeutic service, with a recommended/suggested donation price. All tips are considered donations, and as such, you can help the Massage Centre in its efforts to provide massage care for the underserved Iowans that need therapeutic care due to medically diagnosed necessities, and/or circumstances of financial need. Through your generosity, RVMC will be able to provide in-home massage care to Iowans in-need of therapeutic massage services, such as: those who have been medically-diagnosed with chronic or debilitating conditions (like ALS, or Cancer); the Elderly, Low-Income persons/families, and/or those who have suffered life-altering trauma, (such as: Veterans with PTSD; Victims of Domestic-Abuse, Sex-Trafficking, or Traumatic Injury). The William D Sturdevant Memorial Art Lyceum, The Ballet Training Centre, and Artistic Endeavors Unlimited are also subsidiaries of RVCA.
