This has been the perfect beanie all winter and our go to! He wears it all the time. Has washed well and always keep its shape. I do lay to dry. After this we have bought other colors. Stretches well will fit him for awhile!

I gambled and got the youth size instead of the adult size, hoping to mitigate the chef's toque effect that you sometimes get with a large beanie on a small head. It certainly fits more snugly than a full size beanie would, to the extent that it tends to slide backwards off of my head. I'll go for the grown-up one next time to avoid constantly having to tug the hat back down over my ears. Hope this is helpful for anyone on the fence about sizing! Great color, nice and warm, can't knock a classic Carhartt.

I got one for my son and I got the same color for myself in the adult size. I like beanies because they hide my long hair . We are bolth matching and looking like two Carhartt Heart throbs!

Ordered the black and the sizing was completely wrong.. it's so small it doesn't fit my 6m olds head. Ordered again in the same size but brown and it was larger than the first one and fits perfectly somethings up with their sizing so I wouldn't recommend.

I love the Carhartt beanies and have been wanting one for a while! However, I've often been hesitant with the long fit I see on others. In other words, there's that extra room at the top that sticks up. The only time I could see needing that much fabric is maybe for men because the youth beanie is a tad smaller around the head. Otherwise, ladies especially, go for this one. Fits great and you get your money's worth. Stitching was a little jagged on the logo but nothing some scissors can't fix!
