I bought this because I was looking for a non-petroleum derived source of MSM powder. Omica Organics continuous its tradition of offering NON-Petroleum-Derived MSM, a naturally occurring sulfur compound found in many living organisms. Two separate carbon dating analyses of Omica Organics MSM have substantiated that this MSM is NON-Petroleum-Derived. Because the molecular structures of MSM derived from fossil fuel and natural wood source are identical, it is impossible to distinguish the two or determine the source of either through standard analysis. This is why I bought the brand and not any other brand to try.
