I am a private batting instructor and have tried lots of different kinds of softballs. While these softball have a good compression and core the synthetic material does have a tendency to split near the seams with my harder hitters. About one-third of the softball that I have ordered have already begun tearing. This is with an exceptional amount of use and some high level athletes. When conducting fielding or throwing drills the synthetic leather is definitely off-putting when compared to the real thing. I have a harder time throwing pitches (e.g. screwball, curveball, etc.) to batters with the grip I get.

Solid, durable and hot. A ball will easily last a full game of big hitters! Great buy. I play in men's upper and coed upper. Balls hold up well in both leagues . Trust me buy th.

Purchased a dozen on Warehouse Deals for less than $2 each. Have a somewhat tacky synthetic surface which allows you to accentuate spin when pitching batting practice. For the price a real bargain. Are holding up well

This ball is POWERFUL!!!, and totally overlooked. .47 cor, 525 compression. We play recreationally with this ball every weekend, and it takes a licking! Some of the greatest softball legends of Ohio softball still drive these out of the park at age 60+. I am no legend, but I can usually hit two or three 300' shots every weekend. Durable, HOT (for lack of a better word). If you are a 46 year old, 172 pound player that NEVER hit homeruns, try this ball!

Not the penultimate ball, but for practice needs (which is why we purchased) has done well so far. They get slicker than others when wet, but have good response off the bat. They do not hold identification marks (i.e. your name with sharpie) very well. Overall, when needed to purchase more, will likely go the same route... don't think you'll find better bang for the buck for a practice bucket of balls. (PS NO BUCKET INCLUDED WITH ORDER, BUT THAT WAS MADE KNOWN AND WAS NOT EXPECTED)

good balls, lively off the bat, worth the extra money over the cheap ones as won't warp, and can hit farther. Cheaper than some high end ones but don't see a difference. Teams been hitting the tar out of these balls in practice and they hold up. They travel faster and farther than the ones they use in at least co-ed.

Just purchased another dozen of the Worth Blue Dot 47/525 balls for my son. He uses these balls strictly for BP and they seem to be holding up very well. He wanted hard balls to break in new bats with and these balls absolutely jump off his bat. He uses various ASA bat models and is consistently hitting shots in the 340-360 range. High humidity does not impact the flight of these balls as much as the leather covered ones. The only problems with these balls are 1)the fence will put some serious scuff marks and tears on the ball cover and 2)you have to walk too far to retrieve the home run shots.

We just had our first batting practice after I purchased a dozen of these balls and they make an obvious difference. There were furious grounders, laser line drives and deep balls aplenty. If you're looking to increase the speed and scope of the game then I definitely recommend these balls. Some other notes:-The balls came in a rectangular box in individually wrapped plastic. There was also a sticker on the box that said something along the lines of "Do not remove balls. These are sold in a set." So, I don't think you need to worry about only receiving one ball as was the experience for previous reviewers.-We are a men's, wood bat only league. I would have some safety concerns using these balls in an aluminum bat league considering the shorter mound/infields... These were coming off the bat at hard ball type speeds with wood bats.-I Can't comment too much on durability but I can say they made it through a fairly significant BP session with nothing more than some dirt on them... I'll try and update this after they see more use.-They aren't "ASA stamped", so they may not be legal game balls in some leagues, but they'd still be good practice balls, as the increased speed will improve defensive skills.-And I'll say it one more time: Keep safety in mind. Make sure the infield is in good shape and you probably don't want little Jimmy playing short when "big bopper" Billy is swinging the bat.

This is my second time purchasing a worth blue dot RED stitch 525/47 ball. Two years ago, the balls were defective, splitting after just one impact, and were returned. Therefore, I was hesitant to purchase the eight dozen we needed, but went ahead. I am thrilled with my purchase as the balls are good quality and make our senior softball games more enjoyable.

Worth 47/525 Synthetic 12in Blue Dot Softball - (One Dozen)From this description, I thought I was getting one dozen softballs but got one. Found this to be VERY misleading. I read the description several times to make sure this was one dozen.
