Purchased this jacket as it was a good price as compared to dickies and carhartt jackets. I work in the post office and this jacket is perfect for working in plants/distribution centers. The fit is just right, not too tight and not too big. I am 5'7, weighing around 130 for reference.I've purchased and tried working with the Carhartt Detroit jacket and the Dickies (not layered version) jacket. The Carhartt jacket was just too padded and too stiff to be working indoors, I absolutely loved the jacket but it didn't work for me. I know a lot of people say “you have to break it in” but I prefer jackets comfortable straight out of the package, I don't want to break in a jacket and suffer for months to break it in. The sleeves were also a bit longer. The dickie's jacket felt too big on the arms.The Red Kap jacket was perfect, since although it was padded, I didn't feel as if I would have a heat stroke working in it and the sleeves felt perfect. It was a good combination of the Carhartt and Dickies jacket.Although the jacket is good, the only issue I had was the quality. I ordered the brown and grey version, and the brown version had so much loose threads. I fixed that issue but cutting them. The grey version I ordered had really small pockets as compared to the brown version. Although the jacket has some manufacturing issues, overall it's the perfect combination of the carhartt and dickies jacket.Another thing I would like to add is I wish this jacket had inside pockets!

6'1”, 185 lbs. Pleased that the medium's sleeves were long enough. A very full cut. The sleeves are comically wide. Maybe for layering (5 layers?) Seems pretty rugged and the price is great.. May get the sleeves taken in, will cost more than the jacket.

I used to have this jacket but in size M ,Now I got in size L and fit well.

This jacket fits just right, is comfortable with a smooth lining to help bring it over rougher textured work clothes.The weight is just right for easing the early morning chill. It is light enough that light to moderate levels of work can be accomplished without overheating and it's roomy enough to wear hoodies or layers under it.

Just a little more large than my arms,but no complaining,the quality is excellent.

This is my favorite jacket now, for light winter use . I like it because it lite but warm. Fits me just right. And I use it for casual wear and I get good compliments .

Just what I was looking for on brisk early spring or late fall days. Instead of wearing a heavy winter jacket. Would purchase again.

Loved the jacket, but two weeks ago I paid $50 for it and this week the price is $36.50, poor me.

Great quality, just way larger than expected. I'd say order 1-2 sizes down if you want a fit that doesn't look oversized.

I used this jacket for security duty and it is pretty good. Well made and it will keep you warm in weather down to about the mid 30's. It is also slightly waterproof.It has 2 side pockets but no inner chest pocket if that is what you are looking for.

I bought this exact same jacket 21yrs ago. I still wear it today. It has had a few torn seams over the years. But overall, it has lasted way longer than I ever thought that it would. I only bought a new one because I wanted a different color. I highly recommend this jacket.

Great jacket very comfortable my only dislike is probably just personal preference but I find the zipper Pull to be kind of small for someone with big hands.....

They sent me the wrong size jacket. Having said that , its a very good mechanics jacket.I use it for welding ,soldering, climbing under cars.Its just warm enough on a cold morning

My husband loves it He had one of the same jackets for 15 years. Fit perfectly.
