Mission: Remodeling the Mind is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to educating the community about mental and behavioral health. Our work is driven by our commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention/mentoring services; early identification and intervention by means of education; and support by resource awareness for those who need it; with recovery as the goal.

Results: We were established in March of 2018

Target demographics: provide services to our community by means of education, resource awareness and mentoring. With a focus on youth at risk for developing mental and/or behavioral health disorders

Geographic areas served: The Dallas County and Surrounding Areas

Programs: 1.The Remodeling Project is the central program that offers youth, that have already been identified as at-risk, an opportunity to work with a caring mentor to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future. 2.The Renovation Project is our program for educating the local and surrounding areas of Dallas County about mental and behavioral illness. Our program aims to reduce stigma by promoting awareness about the prevalence of mental health disorders and the effectiveness of seeking help. The ultimate goal is to create a supportive environment in schools and the community where individuals feel comfortable speaking up and asking for help.
