Mission: Respiratory Health Association is committed to healthy lungs and clean air for all. To achieve that goal, we collaborate with local and national researchers in a relentless pursuit of new treatments and cures for lung diseases that affect an estimated 40 million people in the US. We empower adults and children by teaching people living with asthma and other lung diseases lifelong skills to manage their health. And we work with lawmakers to craft innovative policies that promote healthy communities, reduce tobacco use, protect our environment and build a more sustainable future. Begun in 1906 as a community organization to aid the fight against tuberculosis and serve the lung health needs of metropolitan Chicago, today Respiratory Health Association works locally, regionally and nationally to prevent lung disease and help people live better through education, research and policy change. www.resphealth.org. (Less)
