Deceptive name. I assumed this to be Stainless (Steel).

Rather is appears to be a thin gauge chrome plated steel which like that old car bumper, will most likely rust in due time. - especially if keeping wet sponges or rags. To test, i placed a magnet to the shelf and it was attracted.

The hinges and tray did install quickly and easily and the hinges (included) appear to be made of decent quality.

The installed product looks and feels good... at least for now... we shall see about the rust.

One thing to think about... recessing some holes for a pull handle prior installed prior to installing the shelf and hinges.

This item is NOT stainless steel, so there's an issue of false advertising. It does, however, serve it's intended purpose for now. Hopefully it won't be rusty, pitted, and gross in a few months.

The hinges and metal insert itself are fine IF you can get it installed correctly. The issue is the instructions refer to a template which wasn't included - others have stated the same thing. This is a big failure on the part of Rev-a-Shelf. There isn't much room for error so if you're not drilling the pilot holes correctly everything else won't line up and it won't close cleanly. What should have been a quick 20 min install took much longer leading to frustration & requiring to measure multiple times before drilling. BTW, toss out the instructions; they're garbage. Instead, you tube: rev a shelf installation - AdamDIY has a decent install video on this.
