I've had several Rev-A-Shelf pull-outs in two different kitchens and have been really happy with them. I wanted to put one on the upper shelf of a lower cupboard, but because the shelf where it would attach had previously been a slide-out shelf before someone painted it in place, I had some raised areas to work around on the sides. I had to find something where the brackets weren't way off to the side. This shelf turned out to be really easy to install. The alignment guide helped me place it properly and make sure that it was clear of the cabinets on the front and sides. From there, it was just two screws in front and two more in back (but those were harder to get to). The basket screws into the frame.Compared to Rev-A-Shelf, I'm a little disappointed that this doesn't pull out as far. There's about 1/3 of the basket still in the cabinet. Also, because the rails are underneath, the basket sits up higher, so I'm losing a little more height in my cupboard. The basket itself is also shorter, so if you're storing things that might topple over, be aware of that.Because I didn't really have another option, this is workable, and I've purchased a second one for the lower shelf of this cabinet so they match. However, given the choice between this and a version with the rails to the sides, I would choose rails on the sides, especially if the basket pulls out most of the way.
