I bought a home with a tiny bathroom cabinet that was absolutely useless! My husband installed this cabinet mount bracket and turned the unusable cabinet into a very functional drawer where he installed a pull out shelf unit for me to store my hairdryer and hair appliances out of sight. Now I'm trying to see where else I can use this to make a cabinet into a drawer, like possible in the kitchen and convert a cabinet into a drawer for the trash cans!The only issue was with the installation. He had to make adjustments to get the brackets to line up with the door to fit evenly and this was not mentioned in the instructions.Otherwise - PERFECT!!!!!! Money well spent!!!!

I just finished installing these in seven of our kitchen cabinets as icing on the kitchen remodel cake. Really tired of getting down on the floor to pull out the heavy mixer or juicer from the back in the bottom of a dark cabinet.Pros: Nice chrome finish and fairly sturdy. I would have preferred the Rev-A Shelf birch wood units but too expensive for our budget. These are reasonable in comparison. Assembly of the unit is about 10 minutes.Cons: Installation took a couple hours for the first one. Maybe 20-30 minutes for each additional unit. Some things were not obvious. See tips below.Several assembly screws easily snapped off. Glad there were extras.My experience:The units are 1/2 smaller than the cabinet opening. I ordered for an 18w cabinet opening and the unit is 17.5w. That allows for clearance for protruding door hinges. The instructions said to mount the unit away from the door hinges (off center in the cabinet) which leaves a 1/2 gap on the hinge side. That side just stands in the air unattached or anchored. Being off center bothered me. I would need to add some kind of blocking to move the units to a centered position.In my case I also ordered the door mounts to convert the doors from hinged to a pull out configuration.That's where my confusion started. The door mount brackets were off center from the doors position directly below the drawer because the units were installed off center. I didn't have enough door frame to mount the door that off center. There are round discs (spacers) included with the door mount bracket kits that will allow you to move the brackets left or right but it looked odd to me.I realized that I could use the round discs (spacers) to center the whole unit by using the spacers in between the unit frame and the door frame on either side. The four spacers provided at the four front anchor points. I had to provide longer screws to make this work. The result was a centered unit in the cabinet opening with a centered door pull. See pictures of the spacer positions.Tips:1. Hand tighten the assembly screws. They snapped easily with a screw gun, even with the drag set low.2: If you are installing the door brackets (separate kit) use the spacers to center your unit in the cabinet opening rather than off center. See pictures3: Install the drawers so that you are sure the brackets that attach to the back of the cabinet are truly parallel and won't bind the drawer slides. Mark the holes, remove the drawers and mount the rear brackets. Then attach the unit to the bottom/base with the four screws provided.4: Mounting the door to the brackets: Attach the brackets to the bottom drawer. Tighten the screws just until the brackets stay in place but can still move if pushed with some force. Apply the the double stick tape to the bracket faces. Pull the drawer slightly so that it just sticks out beyond the cabinet face. Line up the door panel under the drawer face right to left and also the door top down from the bottom of the drawer face. Press firmly in toward the brackets so that the brackets adjust from the pressure and the double stick tape adheres to the door panel.. Carefully open the door/drawer and attach the screws.Note: The instructions said to face the brackets outward. This did not work for our doors so we turned them inward.

Solid quality. Might be tricky to correctly line up location for attachment to door, if you're not handy. Seems a bit pricey to me, especially since it's required on top the the cost for Rev-A-Shelf RV-12KD-17C.

Fits perfect with other Rev A Shelve products

It took a number of iteeratiions before the door lined up well with other doors and oue side ot the top or bottom didn't stick out. Yes, I'd buy it again, just a minor pain, but I don't see an easier way to construct it

If you put in an undercover trash system, this is the way to go!!

I decided to use the door mount kit. It does take some minor adjustments with the spacers and etc. to properly get the door to close flush.

This rev-a-shelf slide out for trash and recycling has made my kitchen appear more tidy. Super easy to install in my standard cabinet - and I got the optional brackets to attach the cabinet door to - and again, super easy to install and gives a nice slide out - looks great and sturdy. Cans are a bit on the small side - probably not practical for a family - but work great for my house.

Installation was a breeze

Hubs installed, guest it wasn't too hard b/c he didn't complain much. Much better than our old set up. We also got the other set to attach for 2 bins. Cost was ok, better than big box stores.

Instructions aren't even necessary to install these brackets. Easily put on and to adjust.

Great quality and value

Much better quality than I anticipated!Rolls great, smooth, and hides very well. High quality metal and bearings.My issue is with the instructions.I worked in construction for years, so I know how to use tools.If you're John Smith who isn't mechanically inclined with some combo toolset, this will be a challenge so give yourself time.Biggest issue is distance from bottom bracket to cabinet face.The instructions, if followed to the letter, don't really account for how exact the bracket placement needs to be.The best way is to simply put it together, and slide the bracket backwards about 1/8 away from the cabinet face. The last 3/8 or so of the closing motion is the sweetspot where there's force keeping it closed.Too far inside the cabinet and it wont hold shut, it'll just sit there. Or it could open on its own if your cabinet bottom isn't level. Too close to the face and it won't close all the way leaving a gap.Additional note: You're going to need to adjust each side AFTER the bottom is mounted from the outside.So, if you're installing this in the cabinet next to a wall in a corner you're going to need a stubby short screwdriver.Instructions aside, product is DEFINITELY worth it. Great value.
