For years I had a slide-out garbage can with a door on hinges that, if the door wasn't opened fully, would scrape my oak cabinets. I removed the door hinges, measured carefully and installed this door mount kit to my existing garbage can frame and door! It worked perfect! It was a very inexpensive way to resolve my chronic problem. With my garbage can attached to the door, both slide in and out without damaging my cabinets. I will definitely be changing a couple more cabinets to operate in the same way! Highly recommend!

If you purchased a super deal brand pull out trash set. DO NOT BUY THIS to attach to your door. Even tho it's recommended together, it doesn't fit.

I used two of these to create two sets of pull-out trash containers for in my kitchen cabinets. The adapters are pretty useful in different situations, with a bit of ingenuity. I removed the hinges from the cabinet door and attached it to the adapters. In one case I had to drill and extra hole through one of the brackets, but it was worth the effort. Now we have hidden trash cans in two places in the house. Excellent!!! Would not have been able to do it without these adapters. LOVE our hidden trash and recycle bins!!

Good product makes using the pullout garbage can one action instead of opening door and the pulling the garbage can out. Well worth the extra cost for theses brackets. Seem sturdy and had no problem quickly and easily aligning door front on installation.

After some reviews I was expecting the double sided tape to not hold. It held super well. You just need to press the door tightly against it. I tried the dimension route but finally just eyed the door and used the tape. Perfect!

Get a magnetic drawer catch when you buy this. Otherwise the drawers won't stay closed. If you combine this item with a rev a shelf and a magnetic drawer catch then you have a good solution for bottom cabinets.

I added this to upgrade my rev-a-shelf garbage unit. Was fairly easy to install. I watched a YouTube video to help me. So much more convenient!

the kit is easy to install, conversion of a regular cabinet in a hidden trashcan was simple, easy, we just had to find two caps to hide the previous holes for the handle.
