Made from a rigid, brittle plastic (ABS?). Trimming it with a utility knife is like eating a bowl of ice cream with a tooth pick; I used a table saw. The larger problem with this design is it will not contain a spill along the side of the cabinet. The vertical raised section on the sides of the mat is 2" from the edge. So, if you have an RO system mounted to the cabinet wall and the RO filter or tubing leaks, this tray will not capture the leak. If I were to do this again, I'd buy the Weathertech mat.

I knew it would have to be cut to fit. I used a plexiglass cutter with a board held by two clamps for a guide.. Would not recommend using scissors or a box cutter. Once I began scoring, I was committed. Struggle placing it in the cabinet. Having a Center post, water lines and garbage disposal made it frustrating. First try I had to stop and cut it smaller so I would not damage the outside of the cabinet. The cabinet inside had water damage and this tray is not flexible. It seems to accentuate the water damage. Unless the products you are storing has some weight to it, It will not stand upright. If it was not such a pain to get it out... I would be inclined to try and return it. I will not be caulking this in place because I think it will fail the next time the sink or disposal has a leak. Perhaps a new cabinet with no water damage installed before the sink and pluming would bring a different review.

There is no way to put it in a cabinet with a support in the middle. There is no give in the material.
