I bought this as a replacement motor for a unit that kept overheating due to the AC tech erroneously installing a 5 mfd capacitor instead of the recommended 3 mfd capacitor. I replaced the motor and capacitor and all is cool in the house. This motor is pretty quiet.

3 star for the wiring diagram. The wiring for turning direction diagram is incorrect.<br />3 star for the wires (too many wires) my old one has only 3 (2 + G) wires this one has six (5 + G).<br />I had to add a capacitor to make it work for my system.<br />4 star for the quality so far so good.

wires are different colors than the old one - different brand - but my A/C installer had no problems with it...

Still in the box but happy to have it as a back up. Existing fan motor on heat pump suddenly quit making noise and is working like new.

Fit and works perfectly on my RUUD heat pump condenser. One note, apparently the CW/CCW rotation reference is when looking at the motor from the non-shaft end. This meant I had to put the purple wire on the fan contact at the capacitor, where the original motor had a brown wire there. (The original being replaced was the 3 wire type.)

repair man wanted 750 bucks to replace this exact motor and the fan blade. I got this motor, kept the same fan blade and it works fine. Took 30 min to replace. Don't fall victum to HVAC scams. Just make sure when you replace it you set the wires up so the fan is blowing air out of the unit, not sucking air in.
