I use this drum with my preschoolers and they love everything about it! It is large, and the tone is lower than I would like, but those are preferences and the drum works perfectly well. If I had to choose, I would buy a smaller size next time. It is well-made, and I will continue to use this.

The drum is fun, but the pole is dangerous since our daughter tries to eat it.

We gave this to our 3-year old granddaughter for Christmas and it was a hit! She loved it and immediately started "playing" a tune. Luckily, as others have said, it isn't overly loud. I should add that her 13-month old little brother immediately went for the stick and started chewing on it. It really shouldn't be purchased for children who are still putting everything in their mouths!
