This product is described as having "Thumb notch and four holes located around the circumference of the Acoustic on shell." It does not. I bought the product because it was supposed to have these items. I am very disappointed. Hopefully, you will fix this description.

I was using a relatively thick branch I found on the ground as a drumstick, and it got snapped in half eventually. So I imagine the drum is well made lol. I have no knowledge or basis of comparison really, so I can't make a good judgement call on the drum. I really got it for ritual use, and for house cleansings. I got the 14", and I personally would've preferred a louder, deeper sound. But it does quite alright and I am happy with it.

You can't go wrong with this Remo brand. Bright full sound. Tough materials. Made well in Thailand. I wish the sides were wider for my larger sized hands.

This drum has a good sound to it, and it's the perfect size to either sit with or dance with. There is no hole for your thumb, so if you want one, you'll need to look at a different product. But for those who don't care about that, this drum is great.

This drum arrived today and to my disappointment, there are NOT "4 holes around the circumference for mounting" as listed on the item's description. I will most likely send it back, as it is incredibly awkward to hold.

All of the Remo drums are OK. They are a no frills frame drum which for us is fine for a drum circle.

My 10" drum arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It produces a huge sound for such a little drum and it almost makes a sound by just being touched. My only complaint is that there isn't a thumb hole or any holes around the edge to insert a string for holding the drum. That probably isn't a feature of the 10" drum but the description says it is. Sellers should pay more attention to the text in their sales pages. Still, a good little drum at a price you can't beat (ha ha, beat it, get it?)

This is as advertised. It's a 12" synthetic head frame drum. I got it because I wanted something easy to transport that wouldn't be a huge loss if it was broken or stole. I also wanted something that had a decent sound. It is all that, but it is no comparison to my other, larger drums. When looking at it from that point of view, this is a huge disappointment. For $20ish it's a good buy though.

is ok for the price, but not as advertised... No holes in frame to add a holder to it, is very bright sounding & was expecting a bit less brightness in sound...

Good size for music therapy groups with my older adult ladies. Small enough to fit on their laps without worrying they will fall off while playing. Has a good tone. They are also easily wiped clean with clorox wipes without causing any damage at all.

I bought 2 of these - one for myself and one for my granddaughter for her birthday. She and her friends were so excited and very impressed with how light it is and how great it sounds. Did I mention that they are all band and choral kids, so they know quality when they hear it.<br />Also I love playing hand drumming on it. I have owned various Native American drums for decades, and I love how light this one is, the sound quality is impressive, and I don't have to worry about weather and humidity when I need to do a healing or just want to have fun.
