I've had a Remo Fiberskyn3 22" for several years and i really enjoy it for family drum circles and just playing rhythms for meditation and relaxation, my wife's frame drum that she's had ever since she was a little girl (she's had it for over 12years) finally wore itself out so i bought her a 15" so we could continue playing together. The sound is good, but it did not have holes drilled into the frame like it advertised; however it did have the thumb notch. My only minor complaint is that you can see where the skin is stapled to the frame and that the cloth band around the drum didn't cover it well; but i do not think this will be an issue. My oldest kid is getting older and will soon start learning to play the frame drum with us, when that happens ill buy another one from same distributor.

This was gift for my 6 yr old grandson. He adores it and plays with it often. I also purchased a mallet, and the duo are a hit with the child.

I bought this for the kids to play with, and also to use to replace the top on the B. drum music set which doesn't make a real drum sound at all. This size is almost just right, and with a little foam glued to the inside rim, it fits snugly on the B. drum. Now the kids have a much better drum to put around their necks and go drumming around! Of course, with just this frame drum held loosely in one hand you get the best sound. Putting it on the B. drum dampens the sound a bit, but having both options is perfect!

Thought there would be a cutout handle, there is none. However, emits a great sound.

Great drum and price. Get beaters if you don't have any to get a good sound

Great Drum! Very nice quality and very durable. My son has been playing with it everyday since he received it on Christmas morning. He doesn't have a soft hand when it comes to striking this drum. It is still in great condition! My son absolutely loves it! The price was great...or should I say it was a great bang for my buck lol!

Love it! I bought it for a drumming circle and it does exactly what I need it to do. I painted a fertility symbol on it to personalize it and just need to find some decent (and decently priced) drum sticks for it.

I love playing musical instruments even if I don't know how and I got this and I love it. I am learning guitar and when I get really good me and my cousin are going to have our own group and she's a singer and she can use this little drum.

Let me just get the con out of the way so that I can begin to describe this wonderful instrument.

Con: In the description it says that this drum comes with a thumb notch, and four holes around the circumference of the drum allowing for rope or string to be used to suspend the drum, this is not the case. Though the thumb notch is present, there are no holes to suspend the drum.

Now onto the happy stuff. This drum is a very enjoyable instrument. If you're at beginning drummer and don't want to deal with the hassle of tuning a drum, or wether issues getting in the way of your playing, this is the drum for you. The sound is nice although if you want a lower tone, you will need to go to a 16 or 18 inch drum or higher. It has an almost melodic tone to it. It's lightweight and very very fun to play. A wooden spoon will suffice if you don't want to spend the money on a remo mallet at this time. I've had my drum for almost a month, and enjoy playing it daily. May you have much enjoyment with your instrument!

An outstanding product! I own a few other Remo hand drums. That was part of my decision to purchase the frame drum. In fact, I was confident enough to purchase several. Remo didn't let me down! Great quality. Great sound. Highly recommended.

For the price, this is well worth owning. It is a nice and simple drum with a durable fiberskyn covering, how long it will last me is one factor I hope is equal to the design and cost. I am considering buying other types of hand drums from REMO at this point.

I bought this to use at church and haven't had a chance yet-but practicing with it at the house I really liked to sound. It took a little to get used to finding the proper way to hold it-but that wasn't too bad. Can't wait to be able to play it beyond practice!
