Bought for a 6 month old baby who loves this drum. It has great variety of sounds possible by hitting it, or resonating by voice. The decorative print around the shell is paper and does not hold up to baby saliva, and the Remo logo on the head smudges. I covered the logo with a sticker and removed the paper, then wiped down the greyish particle board shell underneath with a light coating of mineral oil to seal it. It looks great.

Sounds great! Disappointed in the pattern/illustrations on the drum. Looks extremely cheap. Almost like a reproduction or a fake. Got the same drum years ago for my older son and the animals looked great! Great color, looked like it was supposed to. Too bad we gave that away and had to buy another, years later. The white plastic mallets look cheap, too. They were all black before. The white draws your attention to the fact that they're plastic.

Grand daughter enjoys it very much. She's a little young for it (1 year) but definitely gets the idea with both her hands and the drum stick.

He is 3 and it holds up to pounding with his hands, feet and the drum sticks. The sounds are real and he names the animals. Perfect gift. Would purchase again. Quality item.
