I have owned a telescoping basin wrench for decades, and have always been successful in securing faucets from under counter with it. However, iny current house, the old wrench I had just couldn't get the right frip on the nut to tighten it enough to hold. I think it had to do with a combination of the angle and the super limited turning radius available.Wouldn't you know, I happened to have This Old House on, and the same guy who made the recommendation for my old basin wrench was using this one in a recent episode to do an install. I immediately searched and found it, and it saved the day. In my opinion, using it once more than pays for the tool, as a plumber would charge 10x that just to come in and tighten a stinking nut. Happy now, and nice tight faucet.
