Lot of tripod head for the money here. Fluid Smoothness, while non-pro, is very good for the price point. Tolerable payloads seem to meet, maybe exceed, ratings. The Pan Lock is a weak point , and I'd gladly have paid more for a mechanism of greater assurance that doesn't convert afterthought meaning.

Well I screwed up, again! I bought the IFOOTAGE TC6S and tried it by putting my camera on top of the tripod and just adjusted it using the top of the center column. Wrong!!!!! It took me only one day to realize I desperately needed a ball head and it just seemed logical to buy the one that was designed to actually fit and be used with this tripod, and these two pieces of kit are made for each other. In fact I wouldn't want to use any other ball head. The construction and quality are rarely seen in a unit at this price. I would have thought that it cost 3 times what IFOOTAGE charges for it. The parts are exact. Everything fits together and works smoothly. It has two safety features that prevents the camera from accidentally sliding or falling off. Also comes with a handle for panning or video. I'm just so impressed with IFOOTAGE products. I will recommend this tripod and ball head to everybody I see with a camera. Even if it's an iPhone!!!!!

It's a great compact solution. The drag and counterbalance are essentially fixed but I do find them quite usable. The drag adjustments are really more just locks but they do work very smoothly. The counterbalance spring is fixed but the overall balance can be adjusted somewhat by positioning the camera. It does work to keep the camera from suddenly dropping if left unattended. It's very useful even if it does not have all the bells and whistles. It's also pretty small and light weight for the feature set.

I use the tripod head with the IFOOTAGE monopod with legs for still photography. I like the tripod legs both for stability and being able to leave the camera in a standing position without holding. Great for use with a remote control to avoid camera shake. The only function I miss is the inability to flip the head to a portrait position.

Everything this company makes is amazing for the price. It's amazing for any price really. It's the best value out there in video equipment. Wish this had a little more resistance while panning, but other than that it's exactly what you need.

I bought this and a bunch of other products after watching one of my favorite YouTubers showcase these products. Then afterwards I got a bunch of videos in my feeds with all sorts of small channels talking about how great these products are, and I smelled a marketing campaign. While there is nothing wrong with promoting ones products I do feel like YouTubers aren't being really honest when they don't pay for products and act like this is something they just picked up...Anyway...Happy to report this fluid is is really good. I'm using it with a G9 which is a rather heavy mirrorless camera and an assortment of Panny-Leica lenses. I think the nicest feature is it is sprung or tuned to counterbalance pointing your lens down, which makes smooth panning upward motions much easier with heavier lenses. You might not like this though if you aren't expecting that--I didn't hear this mentioned in the reviews I watched. It comes in an OVERLY nice box with laser cut neoprene. iFootage please think about just putting this in a cheap cardboard box and saving us some $$$ and the environment. Who keeps tripod head boxes? Thankfully the branding isn't too bad on this with a single iFootage logo on the side...still too much. The tripod I bought from them looks like a Nascar track...Anyway I think the price is solid, the quality is good, and you should consider picking one up. :)

Great fluid head. Very sturdy yet not as bulky as the Manfrotto 500. Same specs in terms of weight limit. Great for travel monopods and video shooting.

High end camera types like myself are name brand snobs and I wanted a Manfrotto as to not defile everything else I've overspent upon, but I kept seeing great reviews here and on YouTube for the K5. They were all correct. There's no drag adjustment for pan, but I wouldn't change the factory feel if it were adjustable. Tilt works great, and the camera mount flange is thoughtfully shaved down forward from the screw to allow for larger diameter fast lenses. I can't find a single thing I'd criticize or suggest changing. Five stars, and money left over for other things.

So far the best one I've tried that doesn't sacrifice too much. If size isn't that big of an issue I'd say the Manfrotto 502ah is a better option for the same price. If you are looking for the smallest and lightest head with most of the same features and almost identical drag then this is it. You buy this head for the portability that it. Anything smaller than this like the Manfrotto befree is garbage anything bigger than this you should stick with a proper fluid head like Manfrotto Nitrotech or Satchler. BTW Panasonic S1 with 24-105 is pretty much at its limit using this head if properly balanced. Anything bigger you better look elsewhere.
