Programs: Rio Grande Community development Corporation (RGCDC) provides a vehicle for public and private resources to serve the needs as identified by residents and business owners throughout New Mexico, with a focus on Bernalillo county. RGCDC supports community-wide healthy economic and social development that enriches traditional cultural values and historical uses of the land in those communities. RGCDC has two main operation divisions; Nonprofit capacity support, and Economic development, which supports over 30 different programs under 3 initiatives: 1) South Valley Economic Development Center, 2) Social Impact Through Nonprofit Community and 3) Delicious New Mexico. The SOUTH VALLEY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER (SVEDC) started operations in 2005 with the main purpose to catalyze the economy of the South Valley, but over the past 15 years, SVEDC has greatly expanded its services to a wider demographic and geographic range. It now serves clients in more than a dozen metropolitan Albuquerque zip codes, including Rio Rancho, Placitas, and other areas in Sandoval and Valencia counties. SOCIAL IMPACT THROUGH NONPROFIT COMMUNITY (SINC) provide an accessible, sustainable, and transformational platform for social entrepreneurship. SINC supports nonprofit projects that create collective solutions to common social problems. From formation through scaling to size SINC partners with their nonprofit projects and fosters collaboration with other established non-profit organizations. The mission is to create a comprehensive and collaborative non-profit support ecosystem that benefits all New Mexicans. RGCDC’s newest initiative DELICIOUS NEW MEXICOTM (DNM) started operations in 2020 after 2 years of development and piloting. Developed in collaboration with the Hispanic American Institute and Agricultura Network, matches New Mexico’s new and existing micro-to-small-size food producers and farmers with customers and institutional buyers.
