This works well once you get the technique down. It took a few tries to figure out that you have to let it work and not let it turn too long. It's just a second or two, then straighten out the kinks with the head of the tool. It will save having sore thumbs when doing a large number of cables.

This tool makes unwinding cat cable easy and saves your fingers. Works very well on cat 5, some cat 6 gets hung up in the wheel

I use it every time to save time. Bulk terminations are a breeze with this tool. I teach my crew how to use it once and by the 2nd line they have a perfect looking RJ45. I taught my 10 year old how to untwist and straighten using this tool.

I did a camera system and used this tool. At first full charge it pulled cables to the side fine. The side grooves made it easy to straighten cables easily. Turning 23 AWG cable hurts the fingers if done manually.This made it easier. I charged it up and it worked well for 6 cables. I come back and do 6 more and it worked ok and at times it would struggle to untangle. I learned how to use this tool. I attempted it again in a colder day and it failed 4 of 6 times.When I say it failed I say this, it would not turn and the cable would stay twisted and the tool would seem to stop turning properly.I unfortunately was out of the time to return after noticing this. It does work on some cables at 23 AWG on a Hot Texas 110 Degrees weather where the copper is hot enough to turn easily, yet it fails on real copper. The claims about 23 AWG are false. I wish I had tested in a Freezer with cables at that temperature and would have saved 100 bucks.

I was seriously thinking about this one, so priceyBut hasn't let me down, it does back and forward, greate battery life, so easy-to-use and the multifunction of the tool tip , allows you to strengthen the wires in a second, so helpful.That's awesome, totally recommended this tool.

I like the simplicity of the tool. When I make a CAT5 cable, its nice to be able to unwrap the twist in the conductors. I have boney fingers. Unwrapping the twist tends to hurt my fingers. With the unwrapper, its fast with no pain to my fingers. Good tool!

The most inovative product in low voltage industry since Pass Trought RJ 45 connectors. Takes few tries to get used to it, but it works as advertises. Didn't test it with Cat6A but I heard they are working on the version for Cat6A and Cat7 specifically. Highly recommended product. Battery holds really well. Bag is cool tool.

Got the tool few days ago from their main distributor because I needed few other items and the price was better.It took me literally less than 6 tries to figure out how to use it. WOW, I was shocked.Honestly I didn't think it will work so well with Cat6. I even tried it with scrap peaces of 6A I had laying around and it would separate 85 of the times.They need to come up with Cat6A Version too!Definitely must have tool network technicians! Highly recommended.

Great tool but could use some improvements. This needs a physical shut off switch. When I'm using it, I put it in my tool belt, but if the switch gets press by other items in my tool belt, the tool will run. Also, a hard case would be nice. When I'm not actively using it, it goes in a tool box, and AI think it can easily be damaged. One last thing that I don't like is that it is easy to press the switch when I'm trying to straighten out wires.Otherwise, it is a great tool and works better than I imagined.

I was attending the ISC West show last month and I saw the guys from the Untwist Tool demoing the tool in front of the large crowd.I actually had an opportunity to test it at the show with CAT6 wire (WirePath). One of the guys showed me how to use it and then I tried - man it worked perfectly. I couldn't believe it.Please disregard the negative reviews and watch the videos on their Youtube Chanel and Instagram. The tool deserves 10 stars. Thank me later!
