It feels like the blade isn't penetrating with as much force as others on the market, but the upside is it doesn't damage the cable either, making it easy to place contacts on the cable, or splice them.

Great tool, does the job as described. Being an electrical mechanical engineer, I use this tool everyday and have not had any issues. When changing wire size, make a small test run to make sure the blade depth is set correctly. Any on that needs to strip the jacket off a multiple line cord needs one of these.

I needed to replace the NEMA 14-50P on an RV power cord with a CS6365C to plug into a generator trailer. I had a cable cutter that worked, but using electricians' scissors to strip the cable and the individual lines inside wasn't going to be fun. I ordered this, and it worked perfectly. It went through the outer jacket like butter, and then I was able to quickly adjust it for the individual lines inside. It made the job easy. Having the right tool for the job is most of the battle.

If you work with any round cable that you need the take the insulation off of just buy this....you will never believe how easy it makes that job.

I have an electrician for over 20 years and always end up having to use a razor knife to strip my cables I'm using. Other jacket removers I have used before either broke or cut too deep or something. This one so far I have only used a few times but the cable I am working with on a daily bases has a very hard outer shell and this thing is amazing. It slices threw it better then a razor knife but does not damage the inner conductor jacket. Hopefully the blade can be replaced if and when it wears out if not I will still by another one because its so great.

If you're an electrician, this is probably a mainstream tool. But if you're a DIY shade tree wiring amateur, a jack knive will do the same job of stripping insulation. But, I'm glad I bought it.....it cuts to a precise depth, every time. And it's a quality tool. Recommended.

This an excellent tool for stripping open the thicker outdoor/direct burial fiber cable. The blade has changeable depth and can change from ring (circle cut) to length (straight cut).

High quality replacement blade. I bought this as a spare for my Jonard cable stripper. Haven't had to change it out yet as the blade in the knife is holding up great.

I work somewhere that bans pocketknives without using a cut glove on the other hand. That rule sucks donkey, so I bought this. And I finally got to use it on SOO cord. It was 14/4 and it was beautiful. No nicked wires and it pulled off nicely. The blade is fixed and doesn't move around unless you twist the handle. This one really works.

This is a great little stripper - for the OM1 fiber cable I was using it on it would just as expected. You do need to take your time and follow the video till you get your bearing down - but then it rocks. That was on harder external shielding. It worked as well on softer shielding for Coax but was a bit trickier to keep where it was supposed to be.Great product - my only suggestion to MFG would be to add a directional indicator for the up and down of the cutting blade.
