It was a bit of a challenge to figure out which valve was the correct replacement as the fireplace manufacturer went out of business several years ago. I made an educated guess and it worked. Since this is replacement valve for other applications, the unused ports are sealed off (by the installer) with provided pipe plugs. The plugs don't thread far enough into the body to be flush enough for the mounting brackets to fit properly. This is a very low clearance installation, so this almost did not work. However, with some creative use of flat washers and a shoehorn, we made it work. The valve itself works great at a reasonable price.

My old wall furnace made new again. I didn't want to buy a new one because I'm installing a heat pump and it's for back up in case of power failure. New thermocouple, gas valve and thermostat and it should be good for a long time. If you have a millivolt wall furnace this seems to be a drop in part for Cozy and Williams etc. Although gas valves rarely fail I think it's a good idea for older units. Before you buy a gas valve check it by jumping from the TH red to the TH terminal for the blocked flue sensor. The usualproblem with these units is the thermocouple. it should measure about 500 millivolts from the red thermostat wire to the white one.
