Don't bother if you live in Vermont. Amazingly superficial and incomplete. Covers the southern third of the state leaving out notable sites; doesn't cover the larger part of the state at all.

Great practical guide!

Excellent product and delivery on the date with nothing to question.

I was frankly disappointed with this book. Most of the sites listed are restricted, closed, or require a state permit to collect that is not given to individuals only organizations like mineral clubs. If you want to collect minerals, you would be better off joining a mineral club that schedules collecting trips and going collecting with them; since clubs can get access to these sites whereas individuals can't. As a member of a club you will have individuals with years of collecting experience to assist you. Also most annual club dues are equal to the price of this book. However, if you enjoy reading about all the fabulous minerals and locations you aren't allowed to go to or collect, then by all means buy this book.

Look forward to other books in this series. Arrived in time for my trip to New England, even though it was short notice.

Generally very good - it would be good to have additional sites that don't require a field trip in order to visit the site

Wished I had looked at the reviews more closely, especially the ones which noted how few of the sites are open to the public without a fee or joining a club. For me the book is essentially useless.

Most of the sites are commercial quarrys that do not allow collectors. Perhaps a rock collecting club could get permission.

Ok but not as good as I'd hoped. I, unfortunately didn't receive it until after I was in N.E..and it didn't have all the formations listed in it that I'd seen. But overall, a nice book.

Good directions to state by state gem and mineral locations.

Great tips for collecting in NE. A LOT of the mines are private.
