I prefer the feel of Tru Spec boonies, but they don't offer as many color choices as Rothco. All the Rothco boonies feel the same to me - stiff and uncomfortable no matter how many times you wash them.

If you are like me and you are on the edge of tacticool this Boonie will push you way over the edge. While working outside at my job no one took me seriously. However, upon donning this 5 awesomeness and 5 confidence boost to equal 10 tacticool Boonie hat people still didn't take me seriously but they did notice me. With the Chocolate Chip pattern I have Gulf War vets coming up to me and explaining how they tried to earned a purple heart by sliding behind a dumpster on base during a mortar attack. I have to be careful wearing it around town though, certain politically inclined individuals run away screaming in terror that I'll kill them with a machine gun and that I'm not a kind person. Before when I went shooting I was all over the place and constantly being escorted from the range. But now with this baby keeping the sun out of my eyes... I can finally see my target.A word of warning to you. Be careful whom you bestow this operator level accessory upon. My 16 month old daughter put it on and she immediately sprouted a full beard and plate carrier and had an aroma of gun powder and quality coffee.For those of you who can handle it, tacti-up!

Quality of the material is meh...not very durable and was very small.

Not the widest brim but not the shortest of my collection of boonies.Been through the wash with no shrinkage.Would recommend.

The length of brim is correct length and it holds the bends up put in. It fits right and I believe it is a qaulity product. Took a while but this is the one for me.

I like this hat because I can wear on my boat and get it wet without the brim sagging down over my eyes like most of the wider brim hats out there. It seems to be a thicker grade of canvas fabric that just feels durable. I also has the chin strap to keep it from blowing off my head at some speed or in a stiff wind. I would buy this again.

Husband recently decided to look like gilliand and fell in love with these hats for keeping sun outta his face while driving the semi claims it works
